A wonderful run today, through the local woods. The sky was slate gray, with brooding clouds, occasionally illuminated by shafts of sunlight. Sparrows and chickadees flitted about, from branch to branch and tree to tree. Even a robin and flicker streaked down the trail, displaying brief flashes of color. With a cold wind, but warming, diffuse sunshine, it was a gorgeous late autumn day.
Returning home, I was greeted with the aromatic pine scent of the wreath and Christmas tree that have resided since Sunday. Accompanied by Holiday Music, tonight the tree was festively dressed, each decoration a memory of a time and person.
Then, dinner. Wonderful, warm, homemade French onion soup made by Joy.
A Lovely Time of Year.
Bon Hiver!
I also had a wonderful trip in the fog to Hubbard Park to see the lights. The bus wasn’t full because of fog but Christmas music and seeing the lights was great. Vandels had destroyed some lights which was very upsetting, the driver took us to Southington to see a special home that was computized to a radio station and we sat there watching the display which was amazing
