Sunrise Pages August

Hello Again, Divine Source!

Tattered cloud cover to the east, with blue sky and sunshine peeking through, opening to blue skies in the west.  And, wisps of fog hanging at the tree tops in the valley.

Last night’s rest was good – Sleep Scale: 4/5.  I went for a seven-mile run yesterday, again listening to Elizabeth Gilbert’s podcast “Magic Lessons.”  It’s the first time I’ve run back-to-back days in quite a while.  I am experiencing some heel pain this morning, which is a bummer; but, I definitely think the running aided my sound rest.

This really has been the most interesting year, Dear One.  As we approach the end of August, I find myself reflecting this morning on how much I’ve changed in the first two-thirds of this year, how many new experiences I’ve taken on, and how much I’ve enjoyed them and learned from them, about myself and the world.

Wow!  And, it all seems to have come about, and continues to, through daring to do, again and again.  As I’ve reframed my definition of failure, my fear of it has loosened, and I have journeyed farther and faster than where I’ve traveled in a long, long time.

It hasn’t all gone perfectly.  But, a lot of it has gone pretty darn well.  And, it’s been exciting, and interesting, fulfilling and spiritual.  As I open my heart to my creative spirit, I’ve found soulful, joyful work.

Next up is beginning my newest journey with my coaching mentor.  I recognize this moment, right now – of nervous excitement, and a little trepidation.  I’ve felt it a lot this year.

This is where I dive in; follow through; take the deep breath and jump.

I have a questionnaire to fill out for my mentor, and I’ve been putting it off.  Because my world’s about to change.

And, today that begins!

Here, Dear One, is a Prompt for you to try:

Make an updated list of Your Top Ten Lizard Hits – the top ten fears your lizard shouts at you on an almost daily, if not hourly, basis.

Your next task is to create a mirror opposite of each fear.  So, if one hit from your lizard is, “You’ll never have enough money,” turn it around to its mirror opposite – something like “I’ll always have enough money.”

Do this with all ten hits.  Then, sit with each mirror opposite and play with the truth each holds for you.

Be warned – your lizard will shout that these mirror opposites are all impossible lies.  Your mission is to expand enough to discover the truth for you in each mirror opposite.

Every day, I change the world, and the world changes me!  Blessings, My Dear Guides!
