Uplifting, Loving Creator!
Wow! What a clear, beautiful dawn. It really amazes me and lifts my spirits to see the dawn brighten in the sky, leaving our valley in silhouette. It seems such a hopeful light, such a magical part of the day.
I didn’t get any “avoidables” done yesterday, so I’m a bit bummed. I did my morning writing, and posted the latest Sunrise Pages, but then I didn’t get much else accomplished.
In typical avoidance strategy, I did go out for a run in the afternoon. I will say that, mentally and physically, I think it was good for me. And, I did try to set it up so that I could listen to the audio of Martha Beck’s first audio class in the DIY Integrity Cleanse Kit (digital). But, that didn’t work out, which just left me frustrated.
I got home and showered, and then Joy and I enjoyed the chicken soup. That turned out really tasty, and I had seconds!
Joy went to bed right after dinner, and I wasted the rest of my night with television. Such is my pattern with my “avoidables.”
So, as I mentioned yesterday, I am left with these things I wish to do. Still not done, still not attempted.
And, today’s a work day, so I’ve got that excuse to use, if I avoid taking some of these things on.
I will start something today, Dear One. That will be my Turtle Step. So, check back tomorrow.
Okay. Here is a Prompt for Today:
Hopefully, Dear One, you recognize that I, too, get frustrated with myself. I, too, struggle with execution and follow-through, maybe just like you.
Here’s the thing – for a lot of us, these setbacks and disappointments are hard-wired into us. We balk; we hesitate. We avoid.
But, today is a new day, and we can make new effort and intention – to do.
One thing I’ve learned this year is that if I avoid something a bunch of times, but then finally do it – that still gets it done, and I still feel successful in the end.
Sometimes, success is knowing that we make it through today, and that we can try again tomorrow.
Trust what you are co-creating with the Universe – keep striving onward, knowing that nothing you do is wasted. Thank you, Guides!
