Honoring the Work, Grand Creator!
I’m up at 4 a.m. this morning – so that I can write these Pages!
I’m due in to work for 6 a.m., long before the sun will rise this morning. I went to bed a little earlier than usual for me; alas, still not as early as I intended. And, I slept uneasily, the concern of over-sleeping keeping deep rest away – which, ironically, then increases the concern of over-sleeping. Ha!
I am leading register training for new hires this morning; the first time I’ve had this responsibility.
I don’t have the same level of angst that I’ve had with some of the other unexplored territories I’ve taken on this year, like kayak instructing. I’d like to think that I’ve simply become more confident and comfortable in the role of instructor.
To be honest, though, the fact that I’ve worked on a register most of my adult life, and have a ton of experience in that realm, are probably factors. I also don’t see it as a matter of life-and-death; unlike my paddle instruction, which included learning water rescue and CPR.
Still, I don’t want to discount the fact that I’ve been able to take this new responsibility mostly in stride, and not overthink it or panic over it.
Like all things, I’ll see how it goes. It’s my first time, so I’m not quite sure about some things, like pacing. There’s a training manual to guide me, and I will do my best.
I will learn. It likely won’t be perfect, I’m sure.
Just over a year ago, I was a new hire going through this same training. I’m looking forward to getting to know a few people, and to helping them feel more comfortable and prepared as they start this new part of their own journeys
So, here’s a Prompt for you:
Ooh, that gives me chills – helping them prepare as they start this new part of their own journeys!
How about you, Dear One? For what new territory are you preparing?
Have you wanted to begin a writing practice of your own; do you dream of expressing and creating on a daily basis?
Let’s work together to get you prepared and started! It’s time to hear your Lion’s Roar – Tapping into Your Creative Voice!
Somehow, magically almost, I seem to becoming who it is that I am meant to be. My Purpose, Dear Guides. Thank you for helping prepare me for My Path!
Thanks for the beautiful post! “Becoming who I am meant to be” the reality for each of us if we just allow!
