Great Adventure, Grand Creator!
We have the thinnest whisper of clouds painted in the colors of the dawn, on this mild November morning. Clouds are expected to move in on a warm southerly wind, with temperatures reaching 60°F.
There’s so much wonder in the World. We notice more, and have the time to appreciate it, when we slow down and get more quiet and still.
What I’m talking about is dropping the idea that we need to chase excitement and adventure all the time; that here isn’t “good enough.”
I am not suggesting that we stop moving forward on our Path. I just want to let go of the polar, binary thinking – it’s not here, it’s there; it’s either right or wrong; it’s all or nothing.
So much happens along the way. Even when we are looking forward, toward where we are headed and where we want to be – There’s so much right here!
Staying in the moment! It’s such a common phrase, but it’s so easy to lose it.
I find myself, right now, thinking about my scheduled call in an hour; the writing, typing, and posting I hope to do today; perhaps golf, on such a warm day (maybe the last chance this season); my body and spirit might need a run; and, there’s work I want to do with my coaching business, if I can find the right energy and motivation.
In the moment, though – do the answers lie within me, following my Integrity?
One step at a time, I think. Discerning what next step feels true; fulfilling. Even just the practice I get, sensing my integrity.
And, here’s a Prompt for you:
Dear One, sometimes it’s about what kind of daily list we create for ourselves.
On the one hand, we can create the traditional To-Do List, which really has no end, until we reach the point that we believe we’ll hardly get it all done, let alone anything else we add.
Or, we can create our Done List, as we go. This is our list of effort, energy, and accomplishment, detailing where we put our time and focus.
Try building a Done List as you move through your day today. See how different it feels. Maybe you’ll have only two or three items written down (maybe more), but you will know that they are complete. Feel your accomplishment.
That can be so different from staring at the list of tasks you never even go to.
One step, noticing All the Wonder around me. Blessings, My Dear Guides!
