Onward, Great Creator!
The sun is shining this morning, but a layer of fog lingers in the valley. It’s supposed to near 60°F today, but then tomorrow will stay in the low 40’s, with rain and snow for a couple days.
I’m rooting for some snow and winter weather.
I’ve been thinking this morning about a belief that a lot of us have – that if we’re doing things “right,” it’s all supposed to be easy.
I don’t believe that…anymore.
I know I wanted to believe it. Especially at times when I’ve really been struggling, there’s been this image of an oasis, where, if I could just get things lined up properly, all my problems would dissolve away, and I would be smiling and stress-free from then on.
Here’s the thing – everything is changing and on the move. We grow older, have new experiences, and learn new things. So does everyone else.
And, life itself is ever-changing – night-to-day, season-to-season; even glaciers and tectonic plates.
Nothing stays the same.
A part of the magic of living in the sweet spot is being flexible and adaptable. Coming up against imbalance and discomfort, and making micro-adjustments to regain balance and comfort. A constant willingness to stay tuned in and to course-correct really serves your centered-ness.
The other thing to know is that you have the choice and power, at any time, to truly stop for a moment. We don’t give ourselves permission for that; we don’t think we are allowed to do that, or that we have that power – but we do.
We can always turn downstream and float along for a bit when we need to. The River of Life will carry and sustain us.
Today’s Prompt:
It may not be what you want to hear, Dear One, but you are the co-creator of your life.
Your challenges help strengthen your core and sharpen your edge.
But, you can also step outside of your pressures at any point, and see that you are not your thoughts and struggles – you are deeper and greater than that.
Remember a time, Dear One, where you faced a challenge and solved it, and what you learned in the process.
Then, remember a time when you stepped away and allowed things to simply happen and unfold, and what that experience was like.
There is power and comfort in realizing the choices we always have. A Great Reminder, My Dear Guides!
