Welcome, Winter!

The rain I woke to yesterday morning transitioned over to snow, which continued for a good part of the day.  It was a long time before it began to stick at all, so we didn’t get much accumulation here, but it was lovely watching the snow fall.

This morning, there’s a mix of clouds and sun shining on our bright, new landscape.  Winter has arrived.

I do worry about the roads and walkways being icy and dicey, especially since my car accident last winter.  It’s something, how much that accident has changed my regard for road conditions.

While it snowed yesterday, I did a few things that I really enjoyed.  I wrote my morning’s Pages, I posted a couple days of Pages, I cleaned up a lot of emails, and I chose a new cover photo for my Sunrise Journeys Facebook page.  I shredded and cleaned up paper.  And, last night I scratched an itch I’ve been having, and I doodled some Peter Reynolds-style drawings.  Just to continue practicing and learning.

I felt a lot of joy and satisfaction with it all.  I really surprised myself with how my drawings turned out.

Today’s Prompt:

A friend posted a picture of the packaging of a candle that included this Rumi quote –

Don’t you know yet?

It is your light

that lights the world.

Dear One, just like a candle is the source of light, but needs to be ignited, so you have your light to shine in our world.

What ignites your flame?

Let your light shine, Dear One, and share it with the World!

Moments of Enlightenment, My Dear Guides!  Thank You!
