Connecting to the Source, Dear Universe!
Well, the sun is shining, and we have clear, blue skies accented with a few high, wispy-thin clouds. It’s a little deceiving, because last night was also our coldest night of the season so far. With the sun up, it’s still only in single digits above zero.
We have winter weather on the way, so we may be in the midst of snowfall by this time tomorrow. There’s also a chance for a little more snow later in the week, and temperatures remaining cold; so, we’ll hopefully be snowshoeing soon.
Even in the time it took for me to write those last two paragraphs, more clouds filtered in to temporarily cloud out the sun.
And, now, it’s again bright. Then, clouds once again.
Change, Dear Creator. Always. Continuously.
I want to be a marveling, appreciative observer to the constant Flow of Change in the Universe.
There are different perspectives by which to observe change, and I feel there is benefit and peace of mind when I am mindful of that.
I picture standing on a riverbank, watching a strong, tumbling river flow past. Then, standing in the river, feeling the constant pushing of the steady current against me. (Or, is it with me?)
There’s also how I feel more often – knocked off my feet, being pushed and pulled, tossed and tumbled through the whitewater, feeling out-of-control and reckless, worried about smashing into rocks or going over some falls.
There’s one guy I work with who absolutely loves the thrill of whitewater paddling.
There is an understanding that I believe is possible to attain – that I have the power to change my perspective. When I feel caught in the whitewater, is it not true that I can shift my perspective to be The Observer on the bank, and know that I am simply flowing with The River? That I am still safe, well, and residing in peace and happiness?
Here is Today’s Prompt for your consideration:
Dear One, we’ve been at this for a while, now. I hope you’ve been finding some of this helpful.
Today, I encourage you again to visit the space of personal wellness. Building a practice of meditation strengthens your ability to connect with your Observer-self, especially helpful when you feel caught up in the whitewater of chaos and struggle in your life.
Meditate on the thoughts “I am well. I am safe. I reside in peace and happiness.” Grounding your spirit to this sacred space can calm your mind and heal and open your heart.
We can enjoy the thrill of the whitewater, the flow of the river, and the steadiness of the bank, together! Always! Thank you for this awareness, My Dear Guides!
